Kate Links

It's amazing to see legions of new Kate sites popping up every day now; I remember when there were only two originally - John Argentiero's (which has since been shut down) and Michaela's ("A Kate Winslet Homepage"). These days, that is, ever since the release of "Titanic", you can find dozens of web weavers out there paying homage to Kate - which of course makes me quite happy! The only drawback is that quite a few of the sites now out there have been put together hastily and with little thought or care, or they focus simply on Kate's beauty and miss the "point" of her acting.

On this page I'd like to direct you to some other Kate sites with content; there are actually a lot more that I've come across than these, but I've decided I'd rather link only to sites that I feel really have something to offer. That is, sites that are original (i.e. not exact replicas of every other site. I found one page that actually copied whole sections of mine, word for word!), and which preferably offer more than just pictures. After all, there are only so many pics of Kate out there, and by now I've pretty much seen them all, with a few exceptions, so I'm not quite as impressed by sites that are simply collections of Kate pics. I also don't intend to link to pages that offer lots of "nude Kate pics". So Kate has done nudity in a few of her films, so what? She's not a porn star, and I don't think we need to focus on Kate's body when there is so much more to her. I like Kate sites that offer news, personal commentary (either on Kate, her life, her films, etc.), trivia, fan feedback areas (like the Kate Winslet Priesthood on the KW:Unplugged site), and other creative items.

So, without further ado, here is my list so far of Kate sites that may be of interest to you. Some are still rather under construction, but show promise.
